WR Jaime Ffrench college offers: List of schools in contention for 5-star WR
Jaime Ffrench Jr., a five-star wide receiver from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, has narrowed his college choices to four top programs. He is nearing his commitment decision date, August 30.
Ffrench, ranked as the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 3 player in Florida by 247Sports, is considering these programs:
- Texas
- Miami
- LSU
- Tennessee.
Not just on the football field, Ffrench has exhibited his versatile abilities in both basketball and athletics too. When it comes to basketball, he had an average of 8.6 points and 2.6 rebounds as a sophomore. On track, his sprint was an amazing 100-meter in 11.67 seconds.
As far as football is concerned, his sophomore season saw Ffrench make 44 receptions for 671 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Even as a freshman, Jaime Ffrench showed promise with 116 yards and 2 touchdowns on 8 catches in 6 games. He previously committed to Alabama but de-committed on January 14.
In an interview with On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons, he ranked Texas as his top choice, followed by LSU and Miami.
"Texas is No. 1. LSU is No. 2. Miami is No. 3," Ffrench shared, leaving the door open for Ohio State and Tennessee.
Despite the close race, Texas appears to have a lead heading into his official visits. Currently, Ffrench is the No. 23 player nationally, the No. 5 wide receiver and the No. 4 player in Florida, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
Texas Longhorns in the mix to land five-Star recruit Jaime Ffrench
The Texas Longhorns bolstered their 2025 recruiting class by securing a commitment from five-star safety Jonah Williams. Following the announcement, journalist Kaliq Lockett hinted on X that the team isn't finished yet, stating:
"And guess what… WE STILL NOT DONE."
This has sparked speculation that the next commitment could be five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, who is set to announce his decision on Aug. 30. On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong believes Texas is in a favorable position to land Jaime Ffrench.
"There was a time when I was keeping a close eye on LSU and particularly Miami, but the word is the Burnt Orange is still in great shape to close Ffrench," Wiltfong said.
He pointed out that Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s reputation for offensive prowess and receiver development is key.
"The relationship with Sarkisian and his track record of offense and receiver development is one factor. The Manning factor is a strong element down the stretch."
Despite losing out on two other five-star prospects — Dakorien Moore to Oregon and Michael Fasusi to Oklahoma — Texas remains hopeful about adding another top-tier talent.
