“You’re gonna get a dog": Four-star safety target Bralan Womack praises Alabama DL signee London Simmons

Three-star defensive lineman London Simmons is one of the members of Alabama's second-ranked class in the 2025 cycle. He is teammates with four-star safety Bralan Womack at Hartfield Academy (Mississippi), who is a top target for the Crimson Tide's 2026 class.

“You’re gonna get a dog," Womack said about Simmons' potential at Alabama. "That kid’s gonna work for every once of grace given to him. He doesn’t think anything's gonna be given to him coming in. So you’re getting a hard-working athlete, a smart athlete."

According to Craig Bowman, Simmons' Hartfield Academy coach, the defensive lineman made huge strides in his speed before the 2024 season and completely transformed his game. As a senior in the 2024 season, Simmons recorded 67 tackles (27 for losses) and 11.5 sacks.

"His pursuit down the line has been great too," Bowman told Bama247 about Simmons. "His speed though, his 10-yard split, it's really impressive."

Meanwhile, Womack also enjoyed a promising junior season with 39 tackles (one for loss) and eight interceptions while also contributing on offense with 1045 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. He dominated the 7-on-7 circuit and capped off a stellar performance at the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Bralan Womack includes Alabama in his top 4 schools

Bralan Womack is the No. 3 safety in the 2026 class, the No. 2 recruit in Mississippi and the No. 32 prospect in the nation, according to On3. He narrowed his recruitment to four finalists, and Alabama made the list, alongside Tennessee, Ohio State and Texas A&M. All four programs are actively pursuing him, along with Auburn, who recently joined the race with an offer this month.

Co-offensive coordinator and safeties coach Colin Hitschler is recruiting Womack at Alabama. As of now, Ohio State is leading the race for his recruitment with an 84.1% chance of securing his commitment, per On3. The outlet gives the Crimson Tide a 3.1% chance, but Womack’s connection to London Simmons in Alabama’s 2025 class could strengthen their position moving forward.

Alabama has just one commitment in its 2025 class: four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson.
