The Alabama Crimson Tide has had a great recruiting cycle this year. They have already landed 20 commits and are poised to add some more from the class of 2025. Alabama has also extended a whopping 220 offers to some of the best high school talents in the country.

The Crimson Tide's class of 2025 is currently ranked second, only behind the Ohio State Buckeyes. They have landed 4 five-star commits so far and will have a chance to add to that tally going forward.

Let's take a look at the top three high school players who have already announced their commitments to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Top three high school players who committed to Alabama

#3 Caleb Cunningham

Caleb Cunningham, the five-star wide receiver from Choctaw County High School, announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide in July this year. He did so after taking an official visit to Tuscaloosa from June 21 to June 23. Cunningham chose Alabama over other top schools such as Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.

The five-star recruit spoke very highly of Kalen DeBoer's program after his visit in June.

"Oh man, Bama is No. 1. They’re No. 1, for sure," Cunningham told BamaOnLine. "Why not Bama? They have the resources that I need. It’s a great place for me to be developed, to get to the next level for my position as a receiver. They’re going to develop."

Cunningham is ranked No.14 nationally and is the second-best wide receiver in the country, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Mississippi.

#2 Ty Haywood

The five-star recruit from Denton, Texas, Ty Haywood announced his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide in July this year, a day after Caleb Cunningham. Haywood chose Alabama over Texas A&M, Florida State and TCU among others.

Haywood talked about his decision and his visit to Tuscaloosa from May 31 to June 2.

"They have a great, winning culture over the years," Haywood told On3. "They are always winning and they are like a family. I saw the smile on my mom’s face when we were there... When I got into the facilities, people were overwhelming with love and it was a family atmosphere."

The five-star offensive tackle is ranked No. 11 nationally and is the second-best player at his position in the class of 2025, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the fourth-best overall prospect from the state of Texas.

#1 Keelon Russell

Keelon Russell, the five-star recruit from Duncanville High School, flipped his commitment from Southern Methodist University to Alabama in April this year. The five-star quarterback committed to SMU back in September last year, but ended up changing his mind and flipped to Kalen DeBoer's Crimson Tide.

Russell was in Tuscaloosa on May 31 and spoke about his visit to the campus and his conversation with Alabama's head coach.

"We had great conversations about how I could come play and do all of this," Russell told BamaOnLine. "How the spot would be open. He likes my athleticism, my accuracy, and everything. He said I would be a perfect fit for the offense."

Russell is currently ranked No. 26 overall in the country and is the fifth-best quarterback in the nation, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the seventh-best overall prospect from the state of Texas.
