The Ohio State Buckeyes have had a massively successful recruiting cycle as Ryan Day and company have landed 24 commitments from the class of 2025. In all, they have extended 172 offers so far.

The program has secured the commitments of three five-star recruits through August and will look to add more to that list.

Ohio State's class of 2025 is ranked no.1 in the country as they have steadily acquired some of the best high school talents in the nation. Let's take a look at the top three prospects who have committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes so far.

Top three high school players who committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes

#3 Na'eem Offord

The five-star recruit from Birmingham, Alabama, Na'eem Offord announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes on February 2 this year. Offord chose the Buckeyes over other top schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Tennessee among others.

Offord spoke about his decision to commit to the Buckeyes and his relationship with the coaching staff.

"I’m closest with coach DuHart and coach Walton," Offord said, as per On3. "We have an amazing relationship where we talk almost every day about football and life."

The five-star cornerback is ranked no.9 nationally and is the third-best player at his position from the class of 2025, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from the state of Alabama.

#2 Devin Sanchez

Devin Sanchez, the five-star cornerback from North Shore High School, announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first week of January 2024. The 6-foot-2 athlete picked Ohio State over Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU and others.

Sanchez shed light on his relationship with Tim Walton, the Buckeyes' cornerback coach, and spoke about his background after making the announcement.

"It was cool, you know, we have a different relationship than any other coach that’s recruiting me," the five-star recruit told Lettermen Row. "I always enjoy the time we have going over ball.
"Just look at his background. 12 years of league experience as a DC and DB coach and now at one of the highest-level schools. As a person, he’s a great person to be around, he has a lot of energy and makes you feel welcomed."

Sanchez is ranked no.4 nationally and is the best cornerback from the class of 2025, according to On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the second-best overall prospect from the state of Texas.

#1 Tavien St. Clair

One of the best quarterbacks from the class of 2025, Tavien St. Clair announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes in June last year. The five-star recruit was one of the most sought-after athletes from the class and chose Ohio State over other top programs such as Michigan, Alabama, LSU and Tennessee.

He gave credit to the Buckeyes' quarterback development and the program's tradition for leading him to make the commitment.

"The tradition, the quarterback development," Clair said, as per Lettermen Row. "Just what’s gonna put me in the best position to go to the NFL."

The five-star prospect is ranked no.8 nationally and is the second-best quarterback from the class of 2025, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the best overall prospect from his home state of Ohio.
