Top 3 landing spots for 2025 class four-star EDGE Cedric Works if he decommits from Kentucky ft. Florida

The four-star recruit from Dayton, Ohio, Cedric Works, is one of the best players out of his state from the class of 2025. Works played his high school football at Northmont High School for the first three years but has now decided to transfer to Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington this year.

Works verbally committed to the Kentucky Wildcats in June. The 6-foot-5 athlete chose the Wildcats over other top-tier programs such as Cincinnati, Penn State, Florida and West Virginia.

Kentucky's class of 2025 is ranked 26th in the nation, as per 247Sports. They have already landed 17 commits and have extended 349 offers so far. The Wildcats hope to add as many talented prospects as possible from the class of 2025 and improve their overall rankings.

Let's look at three programs that the four-star recruit can look at if he decides to de-commit from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Top 3 landing spots for 2025 class four-star EDGE Cedric Works

#3. Florida

Cedric Works had several suitors, including the Florida Gators. Florida has an outside chance of flipping the four-star athlete despite his commitment to the Wildcats. Works was impressed with the Gators after his mid-June visit to the school's campus.

Florida's class of 2025 is ranked No. 42 in the nation as per 247Sports. They have landed just 12 commitments so far and have extended offers to 341 athletes in the country. They will get a huge boost in the rankings if they manage to flip Works' commitment.

#2. Penn State

Penn State is another program that has shown interest in acquiring Cedric Works. The Ohio native received an offer from the Nittany Lions in February, and he was impressed with the program after his visit in June.

Penn State has struggled in its recruiting process this year. They have only acquired 13 commitments so far, and none is a defensive lineman. Landing the four-star edge will boost their rankings and give the Nittany Lions their first defensive lineman commit from the class of 2025.

#1. Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bearcats were the second favorite to acquire Cedric Works. Cincinnati extended an offer to the four-star recruit in June last year after a Scott Satterfield-branded football camp.

The Bearcats' class of 2025 is currently ranked 57th in the nation, as per 247Sports. They have landed 15 hard commitments and have extended 266 offers so far. They hope to flip the edge rusher from his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats and improve their roster for the 2025 season.
