Top 3 schools vying for Keshawn Davila's commitment
#3. UCLA
UCLA offered Keshwan Davila just this week and made it into his top three schools. His affinity for the Bruins can be credited to Demetrice Martin, Michigan State alum and former coach of the Bulldogs.
Davila has been a fan of Martin, who played for Michigan State under George Perles in the 1990s. He served as defensive backs coach of UCLA for six seasons and associate head coach in the last four seasons.
Martin left Michigan State just before Wednesday's National Signing Day to rejoin UCLA. He was recruiting Davila at Michigan State and will continue the push as the Bruins' secondary coach.
UCLA's 2025 class has 19 players, ranking No. 48 in the nation. The class has three cornerback prospects: LaRue Zamorano, Kuron Jabari Jr. and Chase Coleman.
#2. Arkansas
Arkansas extended Keshawn Davila a scholarship offer two months ago, and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Razorbacks a 13.2% chance of securing his commitment.
The Razorbacks' 2025 class has 24 players, ranking No. 29 in the nation and No. 15 in the Southeastern Conference. This cycle is headlined by multiple blue-chip prospects like linebacker Tavion Wallace, quarterback Madden Iamaleava, defensive lineman Kevin Oatis and quarterback Grayson Wilson.
Arkansas has only one cornerback in its 2025 class: three-star prospect Nigel Pringle. Davila can be a veteran addition to the room.
#1. Virginia Tech
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Virginia Tech is the leader in Keshawn Davila's recruitment, with a 15.1% chance of securing his commitment. The Hokies earned the momentum in his recruitment after hosting him on an official visit for the school's 37-17 win over Virginia on Nov. 30.
The Hokies' cornerbacks Dorian Strong and Mansoor Delane are likely to be drafted to the NFL next season. The school still has Dante Lovett ready to take over one spot at cornerback. It also secured three-star cornerbacks Jahmari DeLoatch and Jordan Crim in the 2025 class.
