Top five Long Island Lutheran Crusaders stars to look out for during the 2024-25 season
#5 Moussa Kamissoko (SF, Class of 2027)
He may only be a sophomore, but the youngest four-star on the list is already making some waves. Moussa Kamissoko is a four-star small forward with a bright future ahead of him.
On3's Industry Rankings have him as the No. 10 prospect overall for the class of 2027. He also has several offers for college, including Marist and Sacred Heart.
#4 Nigel James (PG, Class of 2025)
Long Island Lutheran has a lot of excellent guards this year, and Nigel James is certainly one of them.
The four-star Marquette commit is the No. 98 prospect from the class of 2025 and is known for his quickness and strength. Despite only being 6-0, he has shown that he could cut through defenders and get to the rim quickly.
#3 Kayden Mingo (CG, Class of 2025)
The Long Island Lutheran Crusaders have the top 3 players from the State of New York for the class of 2025, and with Nigel James at No. 3, his teammate Kayden Mingo is the No. 2.
The Penn State commit may be small for a combo guard but is known to be very competitive and is an excellent defender who can pressure the ball and rebound from the perimeter.
The 6-1 guard boasts a 6-6 wingspan, which makes him such a defensive threat. The elder Mingo brother can also score and showed what he could do with Kiyan Anthony by his side, earning co-MVP honors with Anthony during the Aces Hustle & Heart Classic in New York City last October.
#2 Kiyan Anthony (SG, Class of 2025)
Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo Anthony, is a social media influencer, a Nerf brand ambassador and the No. 1 prospect from the state of New York for the Class of 2025. Kiyan has proven that he's one of the top high school players and has shown much improvement through his busy summer schedule.
The No. 34 overall player from the class of 2025 may be new to Long Island Lutheran, but has shown that he can gel well with the Mingo brothers and won co-VP honors alongside Kayden at the Aces Hustle & Heart Classic.
#1 Dylan Mingo (PG, Class of 2026)
The younger Mingo brother is due for a breakout season this year, even with Kiyan on the roster. Dylan being a junior means that Long Island Lutheran still has a star even after Kiyan and his brother leave.
While 247Sports and On3 list Dylan as a four-star, while ESPN and Rivals list him as a five-star. Meanwhile, the On3 Industry Ranking ranks him as the No. 12 prospect from the class of 2026 and also the No. 2 point guard. Dylan is also the No. 1 player in New York for his class.
