Myles Johnson, a three-star linebacker from Brewton, Alabama, has decided to reopen his recruitment after de-committing from Alabama on Wednesday. Johnson initially committed to the Crimson Tide in November 2023, but with the new coaching regime under Kalen DeBoer taking over in January, he might have found himself not being a priority.

Myles Johnson, standing at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, is the No. 491 overall prospect in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The T.R. Miller High School standout ranks as the No. 49 linebacker nationally and the No. 25 recruit in Alabama.

Johnson's de-commitment follows that of Zymear Smith, a four-star athlete from Denton, Maryland, who also de-committed from Alabama recently.

“Communication with the Crimson Tide is minimal right now, while multiple Gators coaches are pursuing Myles Johnson multiple times a week. They’ve been pushing fairly hard since an offer was extended at the start of the year.”
