“Their house is not a tourist site” — Fans condemn YouTubers for BTS-related vlogs after attempted break-in at Jungkook’s residence post-discharge

Indian content creator Poonam Naruka, popularly known online as Pooh in Korea, is facing backlash after consistently posting videos that highlight locations linked to BTS members’ homes. Based in South Korea, she’s received criticism for sharing visual content that references living areas previously connected to the group’s artists. The matter gained renewed focus following a break-in incident related to BTS' Jungkook.

On June 12, 2025, authorities in Seoul’s Yongsan district apprehended a woman in her thirties who allegedly tried to access the K-pop idol's private dwelling, as reported by The Korea Times. In the wake of this incident, several online communities raised concerns about content that might unintentionally disclose personal details about public personalities.

Naruka, whose channel regularly features lifestyle footage centered on Korean culture, has been criticized for several titles that focus on BTS-linked locations. These include videos named:

  • MOVING INTO BTS JUNGKOOK and J-HOPE APARTMENT COMPLEX
  • I visited BTS Jimin and RM neighborhood
  • I visited BTS Jimin and Jungkook home 🏠 | Busan Vlog, Korea 💜

Viewers argue that such posts may provide unintended clues that could attract obsessive behavior from overzealous followers.

"To those YouTubers/stalkers who make videos near any member’s home, should be sued. That pooh YouTuber who made it seem that doing those sh*t is normal? Yeah I’m talking about those kinda people. Their house is not a tourist site some, stupid f*ck a need to know," an X user commented.

Many fans are calling for Naruka to be deplatformed, citing concerns over safety, ethics, and the negative impact on Bangtan and the ARMY fandom’s image.

"Well, not enough. Cancel culture prevails until its time to cancel actually problematic people. We need her to not have a platform at all," a fan remarked.
"Why can’t we be satisfied at breathing the Seoul air at least what addiction there is to have your hands near those boys what in the clickbaits these youtubers are hungry for and when will people stop using them for clout and self indulgence. These weirdos should be banned," a user mentioned.
"I'm scared armys image will be ruined bcuz of her. I mean she will be portrayed as an obsessed fan who stalks idols won't that affect us?," a person shared.

More such reactions followed, as netizens urged others not to encourage such content.

"Reported ! I've had enough of her bs ! People in her comments are smittened over her like?? she's stalking someone and monetizing over it while what she does might put someone in danger !!World is crazy place and she definitely knows her audience is baby armys and she lies so much," a netizen said.
"People like her need to be sued too. idk how they feel normal stalking people and making these videos and also profit off them. Absolutely no shame or morals," a viewer noted.
"Keep up this energy everyone! Call them all out and make sure people don’t encourage stalker behavior ✊🏾✊🏾," another fan added.

This isn’t an isolated incident. Previously, a UK-based internet personality named Oli London drew outrage for undergoing cosmetic procedures to resemble Jimin, as reported by South China Morning Post in September 2022. YouTuber Dave Disci also faced criticism for seemingly employing sensational headlines and deceptive visuals about BTS, resulting in fan reports of manipulative content—as seen on Reddit a month ago.

BTS Jungkook’s house trespasser was arrested soon after his discharge from the army

On the evening of June 12, a woman in her thirties, identified as a Chinese national, was reportedly detained for attempting to access Jungkook’s residence in Seoul. The event occurred mere hours following the Seven star's release from compulsory military duty.

According to The Korea Times, around 11:20 pm local time, the woman was seen tapping random codes on the digital lock. A local resident seemingly observed the unusual behavior and alerted authorities.

Law enforcement arrived at the location and apprehended her for trying to unlawfully enter. While being interviewed, the woman informed officers that she had traveled to the country intending to meet the artist. Authorities booked her for attempting to break in. Investigators are now checking whether she acted alone or had more plans.

Earlier that day, Jungkook and bandmate Jimin were officially released from their military duties. Both artists joined the Army’s 5th Infantry Division in December 2023 and served in the artillery unit for 18 months.
