“Like he’s 16” — Internet reacts to Will Smith’s latest single on his love of women

Will Smith’s new single Pretty Girls arrived on June 13, 2025, and the song’s lyrics are grabbing a lot of attention on different platforms. Apart from the audio, the song's music video was also released the same day and has received more than 500,000 views so far on YouTube.

According to the Daily Mail, the actor and rapper speaks about his attraction towards pretty women in the song. He refers to the same in the lyrics, as it says:

“It’s a full house, better play your cards right / I’ma post your pic if you pose / Make one phone call, you in Vogue / Head, shoulders, knees, toes / Hold up, wait, pose.”

In another portion of the song, Will Smith is also heard mentioning directly that he likes women. The video features the Hancock star accompanied by various ladies as he raps the following lines:

“I like pretty girls. I love pretty girls. Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, lemon. All right f**k it I like women.”

Meanwhile, netizens have already started reacting to the new track on different platforms. People took to the comments section of Oli London’s post on X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions, and one of them seemingly made fun of the single by referring to the Wild Wild West star. The user wrote:

“What a joke. Lol like he’s 16.”

The criticism towards Will Smith’s song did not stop in the replies, with a user saying that a school-going child possibly wrote the lyrics. Another person stated that the song becomes worse as it is played every time.

“Sounds like an elementary school child wrote those lyrics,” a user wrote on X.
“This is mental,” a netizen stated.
“Gets worse every time I hear it. Please make it go away,” an X reaction mentioned.

People were also spotted praising the song. A user said that the single can take people back to the ‘90s.

“The new Bob Dylan has finally arrived,” one of the reactions read.
“Oddly enough, this is like a ‘90s rewind. Kind of liking it,” another netizen commented on X.
“He’s 56 years old, btw,” an X user reacted.

Will Smith released a new album after a long gap of 20 years

Apart from being active in films and television, the Academy Award winner has had a successful career in the music industry at the same time. His last album, Lost and Found, was released back in 2005, and after a gap of 20 years, his latest project, Based On A True Story, came out in March 2025.

Will Smith announced the arrival of the album the same month through his Instagram handle. He added a list of singles to be included in the soundtrack, and the caption reads in part:

“Been working on this project for a minute and I’m itchin’ to get it out to y’all.”

According to a report by The Blast in April this year, the album failed to reach the top of the US Billboard 200 and reportedly sold 268 copies in the UK. A few of the singles from the soundtrack include Beautiful Scars (feat. Big Sean) and Hard Times (feat. Teyana Taylor).

Furthermore, Will Smith has not announced any new projects, and he was last seen alongside Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, released in 2024.
