3 active NHL players always looking for a fight ft. Matt Rempe

Fighting in the NHL has decreased throughout the years, but there still are some players who appear to be seeking them.

New York Rangers rookie Matt Rempe took the league by storm last season as he immediately fought whoever was willing to take the risk. However, Rempe is not the only active NHL player who is always looking to square up.

#1, Matt Rempe

Matt Rempe is a 6-foot-8 forward who isn't afraid to fight anyone.

Rempe had five fights in the NHL last season in only 17 games. He has fought some of the toughest fighters in the league like Ryan Reaves and Kurtis MacDermid.

Rempe is also taking fighting seriously as he's turned to former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque to teach him.

"I’m training Matt Rempe and Tyrel Bauer for hockey fighting, this week in Edmonton, at the Silent Ice arena. If you thought Rempe was a problem this year in the @NHL, wait till you see him this coming season…," Laraque wrote.

Rempe should be ready for even more fights next season after this training.

#2, Kurtis MacDermid

The New Jersey Devils went out and traded for Kurtis MacDermid so the team could have a fighter to deal with Matt Rempe and Nicolas Deslauriers, who are both in the division and are known fighters.

If MacDermid is on the ice, he's always trash-talking and looking for a fight, especially if there is a big hit on a player from the Devils.

#3, Ryan Reaves

The Toronto Maple Leafs signed Ryan Reaves a year ago to add toughness to the lineup and that is exactly what he brought to them.

Reaves is arguably the best fighter in the NHL and is considered the heavyweight champ by many as he isn't afraid of anyone. Reaves will look to fight if Toronto is down and needs momentum to swing to their side.
