Connor Bedard is a young Canadian ice hockey professional playing with the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League. He is recognized as one of the most prominent talents of his generation.

Connor Bedard was picked first overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL and signed a three-year entry-level contract on his 18th birthday, July 17 with the Blackhawks. He debuted in the same year on October 10, where he scored his first-ever NHL point in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and in the next game he scored his first NHL goal against the Boston Bruins. Bedard scored two goals and two assists and claimed victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on November 9. With this score, he became the third youngest player in the NHL to record four-point in a game and also the youngest player in the Blackhawks franchise to do so. Connor Bedard is under a three-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, worth $13,350,000 with a cap hit of $950,000.

Connor Bedard emerged as a promising player in the world of hockey. He made history in the WHL by being the first player of exceptional status and was drafted as the first overall pick by the Regina Pats in the 2020 WHL draft. He immediately showcased his talent with the Regina Pats and earned the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the top rookie of the league for his exceptional performance.

In his third year in the WHL, he won the Bob Clarke Trophy as the leading scorer of the league and won the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy as the most valuable player. Furthermore, Bedard was also honored as the Top Scorer and Player of the Year in the Canadian Hockey League.

His journey in the NHL has been equally promising as the WHL. Bedard again was selected as the first overall pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and quickly made his mark in the league. He became the youngest player in the Chicago Blackhawks franchise history to score four points in a single game on October 9, 2023. His power stage has made him a rising talent in the NHL. His first two games were the most watched ice hockey games on ESPN and TNT.

Bedrad has also made his name on international levels. He represented Canada in the World Championships and won a championship with the national under-18 team in 2021 and the national junior team in 2022 and 2023. Connor was honored as the Most Valuable Player in the 2023 Junior Championships for his contributions to the team. Bedard made history by securing the first recipient of the IIHF Male Player of the Year Award.

Connor Bedard was born on July 17, 2005, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to parents Tom and Melanie. He and his sister Madi who is a gymnast grew up in North Vancouver only. Bedrad is the second generation child in the NHL his uncle James Bedard played 22 games for the Chicago Blackhawks. Connor was recognized as ''The Future of Hockey'' by Hockey News. He was also an excellent player in minor hockey with West Vancouver Academy Prep in the Canadian Sport School. There he earned the Most Valuable Player in both U15 and U18 teams. His sister Madi became a strong support to Bedard during his early days and inspired him to pursue a hockey career.
