Jack Hughes is a professional ice hockey center for the New Jersey Devils, as of Jan 2025. He was drafted first overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2019. He grew up in Ontario, Canada, and attended Iona Catholic Secondary School. His older brother, Quinn, was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 2018. His younger brother, Luke, was drafted by the Devils in 2021 and plays alongside him.

Jack recorded his first NHL hat trick on November 26, 2022, against the Washington Capitals. He played junior hockey in the Greater Toronto area and later joined the U.S. National Team Program. In the U17 team, he collected 116 points and won the Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year Award.
