"A special thank you": Patrik Laine and fiancée Jordan Leigh celebrate two months of their mental health initiative

Montreal Canadiens player Patrik Laine and fiancée Jordan Leigh celebrated two months of their mental health project, "From Us To You." They signed thank you cards for those who have supported the initiative and shared a video on the organization's Instagram page on Wednesday.

"A special thank you, From Us to You," they captioned the video.

Leigh wrote about their gratitude for over 100 story submissions and sign ups. The project creates a safe space for people to share mental health experiences and support each other.

"It’s hard to believe it’s been two months since we launched From Us to You. As we sit down to write these personalized thank you cards (which we send to every person who submits their story to us and provides a mailing address) we are filled with so much gratitude for each and every one of you. ... We can’t wait to share more of what we’re working on behind the scenes to keep this momentum going."

The couple expressed thanks for the courage shown by many. They also encouraged others to submit their own stories.

Patrik Laine and fiancée Jordan Leigh moved to their house in Montreal

However, their move had some trouble. They got locked out due to a power outage. Jordan shared a clip on Instagram, saying they were stuck in the dark with groceries. Despite this, they smiled and gave a thumbs-up.

Laine and Leigh also celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving in Montreal. The dinner was hosted by Laine’s teammate, Nick Suzuki, and his partner, Caitlin Fitzgerald. They enjoyed traditional foods like turkey and pumpkin pie. Jordan also attended a concert by Sabrina Carpenter at the Bell Centre. She posted clips from the show on social media.

Patrik Laine is not playing due to a knee sprain from a preseason game. He is expected to recover in two to three months.
