Brady Tkachuk makes his feelings known about Drake Batherson's 4-point night
Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk shared his thoughts on teammate Drake Batherson's impressive four-point game during the Sens' 5-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.
Batherson had an outstanding performance, scoring a natural hat trick – which included his 100th career goal – along with an assist in the Senators' win. He finished the night with four points.
Following the game, Tkachuk praised Batherson's performance, noting that he has been playing with exceptional confidence throughout the season. Tkachuk said postgame via Sportsnet:
"Well, I mean, I feel like it's just a puck needed to get to Drake, just he had it, and he's had it all year, and playing with so much confidence, and he's been amazing. And felt like everything he touched turned into golden, and we're looking to keep building off that. And now he was amazing tonight."
Tkachuk also contributed to the Sens' victory by scoring a goal, which was assisted by Batherson.
"Oh, that was a great pass. It was. I knew all along he was going to get it there, and just had to get a piece of it. But no, such a great player now, so good at the puck, so skilled, so confident, just so much fun to play with," Tkachuk added.
This victory marked the Senators' third consecutive win, bringing their record to 13-13-2 for a total of 26 points. They are currently in fifth place in the Atlantic Division.
