Chandler Stephenson's wife Tasha bids goodbye to Vegas as family moves to Seattle after trade
Chandler Stephenson is heading to Seattle after signing in free agency. On July 1, 2024, he signed a seven-year deal with the Seattle Kraken worth $6.25 million annually. This change will also affect his personal life as he and his family leave Las Vegas.
Tasha Stephenson, Chandler's wife, shared the news on Instagram. She talked about their 4.5 years in Las Vegas, which brought them personal happiness and professional success. She posted a family photo with Chandler and their two kids, Ford Tomis and Nellie Leyda. Tasha talked about her excitement for their future in Seattle.
"Vegas.. where we’ve called 'home' for the last 4.5 years. I’m so incredibly grateful for this city & time in our lives. It gave us our babies, life long friendships and memories to last us a lifetime… it has been my favorite chapter in our life so far and now we’re excited for the next one in Seattle! 'Trust the next chapter, because you know the author,'" she captioned the post.
Stephenson played for the Golden Knights last season. He scored 16 goals and 35 assists in 75 games. He was crucial to their 2023 Stanley Cup win. Previously, he won a Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals in 2018. In his career, he has scored 89 goals and 181 assists in 495 games.
Chandler Stephenson's family trip to Victoria
Chandler Stephenson of the Seattle Kraken recently went on a family trip to Victoria, British Columbia. He and his wife, Tasha, were there with their two kids, Ford and Nellie. Tasha posted photos from their vacation, including one of the family by a lake. Chandler was holding Ford, and Tasha had three-month-old Nellie.
During their trip, they enjoyed boat rides with Ford and Nellie grabbing all the attention. Tasha also shared pictures of their seafood breakfast. The family took walks, with Ford carrying his toy dinosaur. Chandler was on his father's duty while pushing both kids in a stroller.
Tasha had earlier shared the birth of her kids on Instagram. Ford Tomis was born on May 22, 2022, and Nellie Leyda on April 10, 2024.
Tasha also talked about Ford's happiness as he became a big brother.
"Introducing Nellie Leyda Stephenson. 8lbs 13oz 04.10.24 We are over the moon to welcome our little girl into the world and so in love already, especially big brother Ford!"
After a productive stint in Vegas, Chandler Stephenson will don the Kraken jersey this season.
