Connor Bedard doesn't mince words about Chicago Blackhawks' struggling 2-7 start
Connor Bedard analyzed the Chicago Blackhawks' poor start to the 2024-25 season following their 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Saturday night.
The defeat dropped the Blackhawks' record to a dreadful 2-7 on the young season. Rookie forward Bedard pulled no punches when assessing the team's struggles so far.
"We're not just going to be happy that we stayed in a game. We're all NHL players; that's not the goal," Bedard said bluntly after the loss. "It's frustrating. We're what, 2-7? That's pretty bad. Losing is not fun, so we've obviously got to figure it out."
Bedard backed his words with his performance by scoring during the defeat to Dallas.
In nine games this season, the 19 year old forward tops the team with three goals and nine points. But it hasn't been nearly enough to spark a turnaround for the Blackhawks.

"Unserious franchise. F**K, and I cannot state this enough, F**K the Chicago Blackhawks. They give ZERO shits about winning. F**K YOU," a user commented.
"Everybody’s gotta chill out, Bedsrd is still the only prospect outside of Reichel in the NHL. Nazar and Korchinski will be back by the end of the year, Moore, Rinzel and Greene will all have a chance to start in the National next year," another wrote.
Chicago will look to snap their four-game skid when they take on the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night.
