Connor McDavid’s wife, Lauren Kyle, will be the maid of honor at Leon Draisaitl’s wedding to Celeste Desjardins. The news was shared on Instagram by Offside. Although Draisaitl and Desjardins haven’t announced a wedding date, plans are already underway.
Lauren confirmed her role as maid of honor in an Instagram stor:,
“So honoured to stand up there with you and be your [maid of honour]. Love you more than anything. You’re getting married!”
Lauren and Celeste have been close friends for a long time.
This announcement follows McDavid’s wedding to Lauren last summer. Now, the focus has shifted to Leon Draisaitl and Desjardins, who got engaged during a vacation in Spain. Desjardins shared her excitement on Instagram:
“The easiest yes. I love you forever.”
It’s not clear yet who else will be in the wedding party. McDavid is likely to be one of Draisaitl’s groomsmen. Former Oilers player Cody Ceci could also be involved, as he and Draisaitl shared a strong friendship.

Celeste Desjardins surprises bridesmaids with custom Dior gifts ahead of wedding to Leon Draisaitl
On Monday, Celeste Desjardins, fiancée of Leon Draisaitl, surprised her bridesmaids with custom Dior care packages during a special dinner. Lauren Kyle, wife of Connor McDavid, called it the "most beautiful dinner proposal."
Celeste shared pictures of the gifts on Instagram. Mikayla Nurse, wife of Darnell Nurse, reposted the stories, saying it was the "highlight of my weekend." She also posted a photo with Celeste, saying, "Time to get you married."
Lauren Kyle also thanked Celeste on Instagram for the thoughtful gifts. She called it an honor to be a bridesmaid and shared a photo of the dinner setup, calling it the "most beautiful dinner proposal."

Celeste also celebrated Draisaitl's eight-year, $112 million contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers, signed in September. She posted a message supporting him:
"So incredibly proud of you baby.... I can't wait to see what the next 8 years has in store for you. So happy to be on this journey with you and get the privilege to call Edmonton home for the next 8 years...."
Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins are planning their wedding after getting engaged in July, though the date isn't set.
