"Done watching until you do something drastic", "Unbelievably pathetic": Fans enraged after Buffalo Sabres squander 3-1 lead for 10th straight loss
The Buffalo Sabres lost their 10th consecutive game on Sunday against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Scotiabank Arena. The Sabres led by 3-1 before squandering the lead and lose the game 5-3. Toronto's left winger Nicholas Robertson scored the second goal for his team, followed by John Tavares' hat trick.
The Sabres have not won a single game since their November 23 victory over the San Jose Sharks. This dismal stretch has left fans infuriated.
"Done watching until you do something drastic. Embarrassing and unacceptable. Adams needs to do something or he has to go", one fan wrote.
"Unbelievably pathetic", another one wrote.
"Shouldn’t this read ‘The Buffalo Sabres are on their yearly 10 game losing streak’?" One fan questioned.
"I feel bad for the team and their fans. I mean that. Losing sucks, but to lose 10 in a row is just awful", a fan said.
"Never ending rebuild, I'll be dead before they ever win the Stanley Cup", exclaimed a fan.

To all six people watching the Sabres, I give you a lot of credit, one fan noted.
"The Buffalo Sabres are an embarrassment man holy smokes. At what point does their fanbase say enough is enough and start protesting? Sell the club to an owner who gives a s*** about winning", another fan expressed.
Buffalo Sabres coach Lindy Ruff addresses media after 10th consecutive defeat
Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams rehired 64-year-old Lindy Ruff as the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres in April, replacing Don Granto.
Amid a 10-game losing streak, the coach is under immense pressure as he discussed with the media the latest loss.
“I’m almost lost for words, obviously,” Ruff said. “It’s on me to solve this. This is the toughest challenge I’ve faced. It’s on me to get these guys in the right place to win a hockey game. And nobody else, just me.”
The 1975 and 1999 Stanley Cup finalist Buffalo Sabres (11-16-4) are second-to-last in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division. They will face the Montreal Canadiens (11-16-3) on Tuesday, who are sitting at the bottom of the same division. Before facing the Maple leaves once again, the Sabres will play host.
Devon Levi, who stopped 36 of 40 shots on Sunday, was probably the only bright spot for the Sabres, along with right winger Jack Quinn, who scored two goals, and Alex Tuch, who scored a goal as well.
Notably, this is not the first time the Sabres have had a double-digit winless streak. In the 2020-21 season, they had an 18-game-long winless streak, setting the record for the most consecutive losses. Additionally, in the 2014-15 season, the Sabres had a 14-game winless run.
