Evander Kane’s fiancé Mara Teigen can’t stop gushing over beau's romantic gestures during pregnancy

Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane might be on the injured reserve, but undergoing multiple surgeries isn’t going to stop him from seeing to his fiancee Mara Teigen’s comfort. Mara on Monday shared how Kane went the extra mile for her through her Instagram Story.

“@evander kane is going to kill me but this is the type of man he is. I told him I need more fresh air and sunlight and since I’m on bed rest he started shoveling the snow off of our balcony for me in his shorts and slides,” Mara captioned her post.

The social media influencer and model is pregnant with her and Kane’s third child, a baby girl, whose due date is Spring 2025. The couple also have two boys, Iverson and Hendrix. Kane also has a daughter, Kensington, with his ex-wife Anna.

The Edmonton Oilers left wing has not played all season after undergoing multiple surgeries to repair two hernias, a torn hip adductor and abdominal muscles in September 2024. He also underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Jan. 9, which has extended his recovery time by a few weeks. However, Kane also said he will return to the ice for the Oilers before the season is over.

“This knee procedure was something that we could manage and get that done so it wouldn’t affect me when I did come back and then possibly have to miss the entire season,” Kane said via NHL.com. “It’s great to get this cleaned up and I plan to be 100 percent and ready to go at some point in this season.”

Kane has utilized his forced absence from the rink to focus on spending time with his family and off-field activities this season.

Evander Kane was spotted at US President Trump’s inauguration ball on Jan. 20 and interacted with other celebrity sportspersons, including Mike Tyson, Jon Jones and Wayne Gretzky.

Sports writer Caleb Kerney posted photos of Kane from the ball on X (formerly Twitter).

“Evander Kane was in attendance for Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony and celebration afterward,” Kerney said on X. “Other prominent sports figures such as Mike Tyson and Wayne Gretzky were also in attendance.”

On Jan. 19, Mara revealed during an interactive session with her followers on Instagram that she now identified as a Republican.

“I was a Democrat before. But after these past few years, and becoming a mom, I am soooooo much a Republican now,” Mara posted.

She also shared an update about Kane’s recovery process on Jan. 16, saying he was focusing on managing his health and nutrition.
