Calgary Flames captain Mikael Backlund played his 1,000th career game on Friday in a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils. On the occasion, partners of Flames players threw Backlund’s wife Frida Backlund a special 1000 margaritas party.
On Sunday, Mikael Backlund’s teammate Rasmus Anderson’s wife Tessa shared a couple of pictures on her Instagram stories from the party. One of the pictures showed Frida standing by a table and admiring a present during the party. In the caption, Tessa Anderson wrote:
"Mrs 1000”, with celebratory emojis.
Another picture showed three-tiered cupcake stands filled with cupcakes decorated with various toppers including the number 11, a hockey stick and puck, and a Calgary Flames logo. There were many cans of margaritas with customized labels. Some cupcake toppers read, “1000 GAMES”.
Frida Backlund shared a few posts of her own on her stories. The first picture was of the welcome sign of the party with a drawing of a margarita glass and read,

In her second story, Frida shared an image of a wall decorated with numerous photographs of their special moments that the Flames partners printed for her, attached to a string.

“Cutie😘”, Frida Backlund captioned the story.
She reposted Tessa Anderson's story on her own account and wrote:
