HC Craig Berube makes his level of concern extremely clear about Anthony Stolarz's injury
Toronto Maple Leafs netminder Anthony Stolarz exited Thursday's game against the Anaheim Ducks due to a lower-body injury, though the specific moment of the injury remains unclear.
Stolarz left the game with the Maple Leafs holding a 2-1 lead before heading into the first intermission.
After the game, head coach Craig Berube expressed concern regarding Stolarz's condition. He said via Maple Leafs Hotstove:
"We will know more tomorrow. Lower-body right now. It is concerning for sure. I didn’t see when it happened in the game or anything, but hopefully, we get good news out of it. It was in between periods. He got checked out and couldn’t go."
Anthony Stolarz was replaced by Joseph Woll between the pipes. Stolarz ended the night with seven saves and conceded one goal.
Stolarz is enjoying a strong campaign in his debut season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He boasts a record of 9-5-2, along with an impressive goals-against average of 2.13, which ranks him third in the NHL.
Before Thursday's game, Stolarz had achieved a remarkable SV% of .928 in 17 games this season. The 30-year-old goalie joined the Leafs as a free agent after winning the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers last term.

Max Pacioretty opened the scoring for the home team after giving them a 1-0 lead 6:57 into the first period. At 11:47, William Nylander extended the lead to 2-0. The Ducks responded, with Frank Vatrano scoring on the power play to cut the deficit to 2-1 before heading into the second period.

"He has scored in this league for a number of years. He is a 30-goal scorer. He is strong around the net. He has a good stick. He has a good shot. He plays a heavy game," Berube said of Pacioretty.
Anthony Stolarz's replacement Joseph Woll made 19 saves and posted a .950 SV% on the night.
