Charlie Coyle's approach for Bruins upcoming season
Charlie Coyle is now one of the more experienced players on the Boston Bruins. With Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retiring, his role changed in the 2023-24 season. He moved to a top-line position and had a strong season, scoring 25 goals and 60 points. Coyle also played important roles in both the power play and penalty kill.
As Charlie Coyle prepares for the 2024-25 season, he's focused on continuing to improve. He’s ready to take on whatever role the team needs.
"We’ve all got to make the team and earn your spot. That’s the mindset. So that’s how I go into camp, and I want to earn my spot out there, and however it works out, whatever the coaches think — I’m going to play to the best of my ability," Coyle said. (via Boston.com)
The Bruins' new signings, including Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov, should help reduce some of the pressure on Coyle. Coyle might move to the second-line center spot alongside Brad Marchand. He believes the new signings will add depth to the team.
