In Photos: Auston Matthews' sister Alex enjoys $7.7 billion-earning Warner Bros. franchise's London studio
Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews’ sister Alexandria Matthews recently visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. There, she explored The Making of Harry Potter section and the Palace Theatre, which plays “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
On Tuesday, Alex shared a series of pictures and clips on her Instagram stories from her London outing. The first photo showed the entrance sign, “The Making of Harry Potter,” glowing in blue with the Warner Bros. logo.
"So happy," she wrote in the caption.
The second image featured the Great Hall, beautifully decorated for the holidays as tourists explored the place. Christmas trees lined the hall, the long dining table was set with colorful dishes, and floating candles were hanging from above.
In the third photo, Alex captured mannequins dressed in iconic wizarding costumes from the movie franchise, which grossed over $7.7 billion, per Forbes. They were displayed against stained glass windows and a large, decorated Christmas tree, recreating a scene from the first movie with the characters of Professor McGonagall, Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape.
One of the pictures showed a wall of wands arranged in a circular pattern. Each wand was labeled with its owner’s name from the Harry Potter universe. Another image featured a cozy room with a glowing Christmas tree. Mannequins dressed in character-themed sweaters were placed near a vintage armchair and a table cluttered with props.
Auston Matthews' sister Alex visited multiple Harry Potter set models from the movie franchise
The next photo showed a model of Dumbledore’s office from the movies with tall bookshelves and a figure of the character standing by an ornate desk. Alex Matthews also shared a picture of the door of the "Chamber of Secrets."
One of the pictures showed a model of the Knight Bus, a purple, triple-decker vehicle glowing under colorful lights that originally appeared in the fourth movie of the franchise.
Another photo showed the iconic Hogwarts Express as it appears in the movies. The red locomotive can be seen marked with the number “5972” and surrounded by billowing steam in the snap captured by Alex.
She also shared a picture of a set model with mannequins from the fourth movie of the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," where the characters were attending Professor Trelawney's Divination class.
Another image showed a detailed model of the Hogwarts Castle. The miniature replica featured the castle’s iconic spires and intricate rock formations in a snow-capped winter setup.
Alex Matthews also went to the Palace Theatre. It occasionally plays the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” written by Jack Thorne from an original story by Thorne, J. K. Rowling and John Tiffany.
Alex shared a snap of the red brick facade and nest-shaped signage of the title in front of the theatre, followed by a clip of the Gringotts Wizarding Bank set where special effects showed the Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon breathing fire as part of an immersive experience.
