Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher tied the knot with his girlfriend Emma Fortin on Saturday. Many of Gallagher's teammates and their families, including Carey Price and his wife Angela, were present during the ceremony.
The wedding took place in a ‘Victorian-esque theme’ event at the Maison Principale Hall in Montreal. Many of Brendan's former and current teammates were already in the city for the celebration and had previously attended the rehearsal dinner.
Carey Price's wife Angela shared a carousel of pictures from the event on her Instagram. The men donned black tuxedos while women wore stunning black evening dresses.
The bride wore a white wedding gown and Brendan Gallagher donned a white suit as they walked down the aisle. Other teammates and friends including Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Sam Montembault, Jake Evans, Jeff Petry, Chris Wideman, Christian Dvorak, Tanner Pearson and Phil Danault were in attendance at the wedding.
Brendan and Emma originally got engaged last year in July when Gallagher popped the question during a trip to British Columbia. They have been together for a few years now.
Earlier in an interview with NHL.com Emma described him as generous, a good listener, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent. She mentioned that initially, Gallagher was shy, but once he opened up, their relationship has been smooth and strong ever since.
Fortin also shared that they spend a lot of time together and it seems they are very much in love. She said:
“We do everything; whether it's going for walks, going out for breakfast or dinner… We're always together.”
