In Photos: Charlie McAvoy's wife Kiley shares memorable wedding moments as couple celebrates their first anniversary
Charlie McAvoy and his wife Kiley got married one year ago today. The star hockey player and his wife tied the knot on Aug. 5, 2023, during the NHL offseason. One year later, Kiley took to Instagram to share some pictures from their special day to honor the journey they have been on since.
She captioned her post:
"One year married to my best friend (and since the best day of our lives) life is only getting sweeter with you."
The first picture is of one of their first kisses as a married couple. The black and white photo features them standing in the aisle kissing, while guests cheered happily for the new union.
The second is an adorable picture with the newly married couple, still in their wedding garb, posing with their dog. The third features an intimate look at the Boston Bruins star with his wife.
Finally, McAvoy and his wife had changed and were dancing together at the reception for the wedding. It was a special time, one that they were happy to revisit one year later.
Charlie McAvoy's stats from last season
Charlie McAvoy is very much a key figure for the Boston Bruins. While they haven't veen as dominant in recent years, they're still absolutely one of the best teams. They finished one point below the eventual NHL champion Florida Panthers in the regular-season standings.
In the 2023-24 season, the star defender had 47 points. After 12 goals (three of them went down as game-winners) and 35 assists, he proved himself as one of the better offensive defenders in the sport. There is also room for improvement as with most players.
It was a solid year, but it was a bit of a step down from the previous season. He recorded 52 points that year on the strength of a very impressive 45 assists. He added a few goals to his tally, however. Twenty-three of his 2023-24 season assists were at full strength, which indicates that McAvoy didn't benefit from penalties in his stat line.
