IN-PHOTOS: Evander Kane's girlfriend Mara Teigen shares pictures of their Florida getaway with other Oilers' players' partners

Evander Kane and the Edmonton Oilers team will be up against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. They will play Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final 2024 at Amerant Bank Arena, Florida, home of the Panthers. This will be a best-of-seven series, and the winner will lift the Stanley Cup.

Edmonton Oiler players' partners have already arrived in Miami to support them. On Friday, Kane's partner, Mara Teigen, shared pictures from their getaway in Florida on Instagram.

Teigen explored Delilah Miami, a restaurant in Miami. She was there with Alannah Mozes, Zach Hyman's wife, and Emma Vincent, Troy Stecher's fiancee.

Evander Kane's statement concerning injury before Stanley Cup Final

Evander Kane expressed gratitude for the week off between the Western Conference Final and the Stanley Cup Final. This period has allowed him to rest and recover from an injury and a lacerated spleen.

The Edmonton Oilers plan for him to play on the second line in Game 1. During an NHL Network interview, Kane shared his relief about the break.

"Usually I’d be the one to be complaining about all this big time off during series’ but this time I was very happy about it.” Kane said (via Yard Barker), “It’s been really good for me to have a week off before Game 1 tomorrow night, hopefully I’ll be ready to go.”

The Oilers rely on Kane's physical presence, and against Florida, he is all the more important.

“You look at guys throughout our lineup that can play that game, we’ve got over a handful of them.” Kane said about the physical play against Panthers.

The Oilers will need Kane in full health for the finals series. If Kane's injury worsens, the situation for Connor McDavid and the Oilers will become difficult.
