In Photos: Jeff Petry enjoys family vacation in Chicago, meets up with Red Wings teammate JT Compher for Cubs game
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jeff Petry went on a trip to Chicago, Illinois, with his wife Julie and four boys: Boyd, Barrett, Bowen, and Blake. Julie shared the pictures from their trip on her Instagram story.
The first place they visited was The Bean (Cloud Gate), in Chicago. Petry's three kids were seen lying on the ground under the bean.
"Feral children @ the bean," Julie humorously wrote,
Then they took the subway to travel around the town. On their way, they met Red Wings forward J. T. Compher. One of Petry's kids shared a good bond with Compher, who had picked him up in his arms.
Meanwhile, Petry's youngest son, Blake, was frequently captured by the camera in his stroller. Tired from the exhausting day, he slept in his stroller, which Julie quoted as "and he's out."
They headed to Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs and attended the game against the Cardinals, which took place at 1:20 P.M. The entire family went for the game, along with Uncle 'Compher.'
Julie shared her experience watching the Cardinals vs. Cubs game and wrote:
"fun to be Cubs fans for the day"
Julie and Jeff, along with their kids, reached the hotel at 4:37 P.M. after the game. But that was not the end of their day. Julie shared a picture of the hotel and wrote,
"We honestly could have called it a day... but we rested & rallied for one more adventure"
Jeff Petry along with his family, went to Willis Tower Skydeck
They also went on an adventure to get a view of Chicago's high-rise buildings from the top of Chicago's Willis Tower Skydeck. There, Petry's four kids had too much fun; they danced and jumped. Even little Blake was enjoying the dance, with the whole of Chicago in the background.
Julie wrote:
"Proof that our kids have no fear".
They ended their day on the beach. As Julie said,
"the best of both worlds".
Shirtless Jeff Petry was featured in a couple of last stories. He can be seen calling for Blake and taking him on the beach tour wrapped around his arms. Meanwhile, his brothers had fun playing there.
