In Photos: Mason Marchment and wife Alexis' best moments from adorable wedding in Tulum, Mexico
Dallas Stars left wing Mason Marchment got married to Alexis Durham earlier last week on July 3. On Thursday, Alexis shared a carousel of pictures from their beach wedding on her Instagram.
Marchment and Durham have been together for almost eight years. They got engaged last year in August after Mason proposed to his longtime girlfriend.
The wedding took place in an outdoor setting in Tulum, Mexico. Luxury by BTS organized the series of events including the rehearsal dinner leading up to the wedding ceremony at “Casamilos” – coined from the name of Mason and Alexis’ dog Milo.
The bride wore a stunning, white lace wedding gown with intricate floral appliqué details and a strapless sweetheart neckline, complemented by a long, sheer veil behind her. Mason sported a designer beige suit with a white dress shirt and light-colored loafers.
One of the snaps showed the inside lining of Marchment’s suit jacket printed with pictures of memorable moments from his NHL career.
Mason Marchment and Alexis Durham had to take refuge in storm shelter day after wedding
With friends, teammates, former teammates and family attending the wedding event at Tulum, all preparations were picture-perfect for the couple. However, when Hurricane Beryl hit the coastlines, the whole party had to take refuge in a nearby storm shelter at Quintana Roo the day after the wedding.
“Not a hurricane hitting the day after our wedding,” Alexis wrote on one of her IG stories.
Mason’s former teammate Brandon Montour and family were guests at the wedding. They had to move with the Marchments and party to the storm shelter.
Brandon’s wife Ryian also posted pictures from their storm shelter experience on her Instagram stories. One of the pictures saw their son Kai drink from a feeder bottle while his dad napped beside him on a shelter bed.
“Thanks Beryl🙃” Ryan wrote with an upside-down smiley on her IG story.
BTS Event Management organized the whole function in the face of the ‘grade 5 hurricane’ and posted a sneak peek of the wedding event on their official Instagram handle.
“Cheers to making memories, enjoying adventures, and telling this story that quite literally no one may ever believe ❤️,” they wrote.
Now that the couple is married, they will have one epic wedding story to tell their children!
