In Photos: Panthers' Uvis Balinskis weds girlfriend Ieva Balinska in home country Latvia
The Florida Panthers' Latvian defenseman Uvis Balinskis married his girlfriend, Ieva Balinska, on Monday. Ieva shared the photos of her wedding on Instagram and also tagged their wedding photographer, Miks Sels.
The couple got married in a forest and lake setting in Latvia. In the first picture, fans get to see Ieva in a white wedding dress with a long veil. Balinskis wore a black tuxedo with a bowtie.
In the second picture, Balinskis wore the same tuxedo, but Ieva changed into another long gown dress. The couple were celebrating their special day, and Balinskis had a champagne bottle in his right hand.

After the Florida Panthers' 2023-24 Stanley Cup win over the Edmonton Oilers, Uvis Balinskis' wife, Ieva, shared her joy on Instagram.
"2024 vs 2017. The time when the biggest dream was to be in the Latvian hockey team, the time when it seemed - to play on the biggest stage of hockey is something far and out of reach, the time when we watched the finals together and thought - cool, we could someday go to watch it, but life is unpredictable and here we are. Together and drinking champagne from the big glass..."

Recently, she also shared pictures from Balinskis' day with the Stanley Cup. The couple sat with the coup and posed for a photograph to mark the special moment. They also took the cup to the nearby beach. One picture featured the cup kept in front of the beach.
Last season, Uvis Balinskis had a goal and two assists in 26 games for the Panthers.
