Matovac shared she is happy in her relationship with Dahlin and spoke about her independence on March 24, 2023.
"You know I’m always going to be Rasmus's girlfriend. And I love to be his girlfriend. But I also want to be my own person. And do my own thing," Matovac said (via wkbw.com).
So I love that I’m able to do something that I care about and love. And knowing it's for me and by me with no one else involved."
Rasmus Dahlin's performance and Buffalo Sabres playoff draught
Rasmus Dahlin tops the Buffalo Sabres' payroll with an $11 million cap hit. The Sabres picked him first in the 2018 draft, and he's proven to be a crucial team member. Even though the Sabres haven't made the playoffs in 13 years, Dahlin has stood out as their best defenseman since he came on board six years back.
Dahlin had a breakout in the 2021-22 season, scoring 50 points and double-digit goals for the first time. He exceeded expectations in 2022-23 with 73 points, scoring in five straight games and finishing eighth in Norris Trophy voting. Last season, he set a career-high with 20 goals and totaled 59 points, missing just one game. Defensively, he had 154 blocks, 195 hits and 42 takeaways.
Dahlin is under pressure to perform under new coach Lindy Ruff. Sabres fans expect him to score more than 70 points and deliver over 200 hits.
