Ottawa Senators center Tim Stutzle missed the last seven games of the 2023-24 season due to a shoulder injury. The Senators also failed to qualify for the playoffs under captain Brady Tkachuk. Stutzle was expected to recover completely before the start of the 2024-25 season, but he has another thing to be excited about this offseason: he has bought a black Porsche 911 Turbo.
Stutzle's choice of the Porsche 911 Turbo reflects his taste for high-performance and sporty cars. The price of the 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo is $245,195 for the top-end model, per Car and Driver.
German dealership Porsche Zentrum Dortmund delivered the car to Stutzle. They shared an Instagram post on Saturday with pictures of Stutzle receiving the delivery with a smile on his face. The caption of the post read:
"A particularly sporty delivery! We warmly congratulate Tim Stutzle on the delivery and are very pleased to be handing over our iconic sports car to an equally sporty, thoroughly ambitious young man.
"We wish Tim a safe and pleasant journey at all times and much success for the 24/25 season!"
Tim Stutzle's offseason training vow and performance
Tim Stutzle previously discussed his performance amid persistent injuries and expressed frustration with his body's limitations. The German center admitted he wasn't up to par and vowed to work hard over the summer to improve for next year.
“It’s frustrating when your head or your brain is going but your body doesn’t really do the things,” Stutzle said. “It shouldn’t be an excuse, I just wasn’t good enough throughout the year and I’m going to work really hard in the summer and be better next year.”
Stutzle, who earns $8.35 million annually until 2031, faced skepticism due to his four NHL seasons without a playoff appearance.
This season, Tim Stutzle recorded 18 goals, 70 points, 192 shots on goal and 100 hits in 75 games, a decline from his 2022-23 stats of 39 goals and 90 points in 78 games.
