This offseason is tough for Colorado Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland and president Joe Sakic because they're unsure of Valeri Nichushkin's return. Meanwhile, Nichushkin's wife Svetlana has introduced her clothing brand's "Sun Kissed" collection for summer 2024.

Svetlana Nichushkin is the founder of Lavarice. Her collaboration with former Victoria's Secret Angel Taylor Hill for the summer collection is a big step forward in her fashion career.

An Instagram post by Lavarice features Hill in classic black swimwear. She elegantly flaunts a black bikini while indulging in a mango.

Svetlana Nichushkin is carving her path as a successful businesswoman. Her clothing company Lavarice specializes in swimwear and lingerie that offer quality, beauty and comfort to customers.

Lavarice's website shows Svetlana's vision for the brand. It puts a lot of focus on accessibility for every girl. The brand employs high-tech production methods and thoughtful designs to ensure the highest quality products. With over 430K followers on Instagram, Lavarice is gaining traction.

After his suspension, Valeri Nichushkin could leave the Avalanche

Colorado Avalanche forward Valeri Nichushkin entered stage three of the four-stage NHL/NHLPA player assistance program that helps players and their families deal with mental health and substance abuse among other issues. A player enters stage three of the player assistance program for violating stage two.

On entering stage three of the NHL/NHLPA plan, a player is suspended for six months without pay. After reportedly failing a drug test, Nichushkin faced these implications.

Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff Live discussed the Avalanche's dilemma. He spoke of their inability to terminate Nichushkin's contract presently.

"Yeah, and that’s just the thing they’re not actually eligible to terminate his contract right now. I’m sure they are weighing that, 'Hey this is a really important piece to us, how do we handle the situation,'" Seravalli said.

Seravalli suggests the Avalanche might consider parting ways with Valeri Nichushkin. This consideration arises from his repeated drug-related issues, although Seravalli noted the seriousness of addiction.

"My personal take is they might be done with him. That might be tough to take because addiction is a real thing and certainly hope he gets the help he needs. But in this spot now when it matters most two years in a row you have an issue that’s popped up with drugs," Seravalli said.

Seravalli even shared the erosion of trust within the team and management. He pointed out the financial implications of Nichushkin's situation. He even shared the importance of managing the situation carefully due to its impact on the team's salary cap.

"I think a lot of trust has been eroded, I think trust eroded with players in the room, in their front office, and now because of his cap hit and situation they need to manage it appropriately," Seravalli concluded.

In short, Seravalli shared that the Avalanche care about Valeri Nichushkin, but his problems might force him to leave the team.
