NHL legend Wayne Gretzky's youngest daughter, Emilia Gretzky, recently attended the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. She shared snapshots and clips of her paddock experience at the event on her Instagram stories on Sunday.
Gretzky and her friends had a full paddock experience with pit lane walks, where they got an up-close view of the team garages and cars. She posted short clips of the pre-race preparations and fine-tuning that go into the race cars at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Paddock passes for the Monaco Grand Prix generally come at a premium, often reaching tens of thousands of dollars. This year, the Monaco F1 Paddock Club seats were priced at €19,707 each.
On the grid, Charles Leclerc made history at the Monaco Grand Prix 2024 by clinching a long-awaited victory in front of his home crowd. Despite early drama that saw a massive collision involving Sergio Perez, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg and a late push from Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz, Leclerc held onto his lead, crossing the finish line over seven seconds ahead of Piastri.
Emilia Gretzky turned 21 this year
Emilia Gretzky celebrated her 21st birthday late in March with a lavish "Casino Royale" themed party. The event was a family affair, attended by her parents, Wayne Gretzky and actress Janet Jones, as well as her siblings Paulina, Trevor, and her brother-in-law, Dustin Johnson. Emma's boyfriend, Stone Eby, was also at the celebration.
Their mother, Janet, expressed her pride and affection for Emma in a heartfelt Instagram post. She shared a video with pictures from Emilia's childhood to the present, with a touching caption:
"Happy birthday Emma! This is 21! We could not be more proud of you than we all are, you are the best daughter anyone could ever dream of. Thank you for that. We all can't wait until we can all celebrate you now it's time to come home."
Emilia is currently a student at Southern Methodist University (SMU), where she is an active member of the tennis team. Wayne Gretzky is proud of his daughter’s passion for the sport and inspires her to follow her dreams.
“If you enjoy it, and work hard and continue to progress, good things can happen,” Gretzky said during an interview with the Ventura County Star. “For us, as parents our goal for Emma is to love [tennis], work hard and keep working hard at it, because it’s a huge commitment.” [H/T People Magazine]
Emilia Gretzky is also known for making an appearance in the 2013 film "Palo Alto'' alongside Emma Roberts and James Franco. She has been dating Stone Eby, who plays college football at SMU.
