Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith thanks 'hockey sisters' for raising over $20K with special bracelet initiative to support Gaudreau brothers foundation
Meredith Gaudreau, wife of late Columbus Blue Jackets player Johnny Gaudreau, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She thanked her “hockey sisters” for supporting a bracelet fundraiser in honor of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau.
This initiative has raised over $20,000 for the Gaudreau Brothers Foundation, a charity started by the family to honor the brothers’ memory.
Meredith posted several Instagram stories to thank everyone who supported the cause. In one story, she shared photos of the bracelet, showing her appreciation for the hockey community.
"Love every single one of you my hockey sisters" Meredith wrote.
During the Columbus Blue Jackets' NHL game, Meredith was present with her friends. She posted a picture showing their wrists with the bracelets and captioned it, “Love you so much.”
The bracelet fundraiser was organized by Danielle Nyquist and her business, Arm Candy LLC.
The bracelets feature gold and blue beads, with white beads displaying numbers like “13” and “21.” These numbers represent the Gaudreau brothers’ jersey numbers. Danielle Nyquist shared on social media, saying,
“Nearly 500 women across the NHL purchased these bracelets to show their support and solidarity with @meredithgaudreau_ , @mogaudreau, and their families.”
She added that all the money from the bracelets would go to the Gaudreau Brothers Foundation.
Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew died in a bike accident on August 29, 2024.
The brothers were hit by a car while biking in Oldmans Township, New Jersey. They were home to serve as groomsmen at their sister’s wedding. The driver who hit them was later charged with two counts of death by auto.

“A man with a heart of gold and life of the party.”
Meredith reposted this photo, adding,
“Always be my wedding date.”
