Leon Draisaitl has a heartfelt message for Oilers teammates after reaching 900 career points milestone

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl reached a major milestone by hitting 900 points during the 3-2 overtime win over the Boston Bruins at Rogers Place on Thursday.

The 28-year-old German had a standout night, recording three assists and extending his multipoint streak to seven games, which includes six goals and 12 assists.

Leon Draisaitl's consistency has been a key to the Oilers' recent run of results, as they have won six of their last seven games.

Draisaitl shared his thoughts on his achievement, noting that the league is challenging and that he learns something new every day. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who has helped him along the way.

"Yeah, feels good. It's a hard league, and you learn a lot along the way. And you know, every day you learn, you truly learn something new, right? So obviously, proud of myself, but you can't get to those milestones without teammates and guys trusting you, coaches trusting you.
"So big, big thank you goes out to everyone that obviously helped along the way," he said.

Draisaitl also became the fifth European player in NHL history to reach 900 career points in fewer games, accomplishing the feat in just 751 games.

With 23 goals and 50 points this season, Draisaitl is leading the league in scoring.
