Celeste Desjardins, fiancée of Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl, released the trailer for her upcoming movie 'Soul's Road' on Saturday. The movie also features Canadian country music star Dallas Smith.
The trailer was released at the Canadian Country Music Awards. The movie was shot in Edmonton and is a fully financed Canadian project. It is a redemption story about a rock star, who is played by Smith who returns home to make amends with people in his hometown. Desjardins plays Julia Duguay in the movie.
Leon Draisaitl's fiancee issues touching letter after forward signs extension with the Oilers
Leon Draisaitl has signed an eight-year contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers, set to begin in the 2025-26 season, with an average annual value of $14 million.
The deal ensures that Draisaitl remains in Edmonton for the next nine years. Oilers GM Stan Bowman remarked that it is a historic day for the franchise to retain the superstar forward.
Following the deal being done, Leon Draisaitl's fiancee, Celeste Desjardins shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.
"So incredibly proud of you baby," she wrote in her story. "I've watched you pour so much love and hard work in everything you do. Your commitment and passion for the game is unmatched. I can't wait to see what the next 8 years has in store for you."

Draisaitl has been with the Oilers since the team selected him third overall in the 2014 NHL draft. The German has since become one of the best players in the NHL and was a key reason for Edmonton making it to the Cup Final last season.
