Nikolai Kovalenko and fiancée Anastasia spend quality time together at Universal Orlando Resort
Nikolai Kovalenko made his playoff debut earlier in April for the Colorado Avalanche. This season, he is expected to feature in another great regular season run. But apart from practicing for the upcoming season, he is enjoying time with his fiancée, Anastasia
Kovalenko recently made a visit to Universal Orlando Resort with Anastasia. They shared special moments, including a kiss in front of the Universal Studio's life-size logo. They also enjoyed ice cream together.
Anastasia shared a clip of Universal’s 'Parade of Minions'. It featured Stuart, wearing rainbow suspenders and, occasionally, headphones; Bob, dressed in a disco shirt; and Kevin, in a white suit.
Anastasia posted pictures of their visit to Diagon Alley, where they saw the Gringotts Bank with a dragon on top. They also visited Platform 9¾, where guests can 'walk through' the wall like in the Harry Potter movies. The couple clearly enjoyed their time together at the resort, taking a break before the upcoming hockey season.
Nikolai Kovalenko proposed to Anastasia in a hot air balloon
Nikolai Kovalenko and Anastasia got engaged on May 28, 2024. Nikolai proposed to Anastasia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The couple were touring around Dubai, and they had planned for a hot air balloon ride. Anastasia had no idea what Nikolai had planned. They got lifted up from the ground and after reaching a certain height, Nikolai got down on one knee and proposed to Anastasia.
Her reaction to the moment was priceless as she said 'Yes'. She was completely awestruck as Nikolai placed the ring on her fingers. He also gave her a bouquet of pink roses.
The couple shared a warm hug to celebrate their special day. It was one of the best proposal ideas and Nikolai perfectly executed it, making memories of a lifetime.
Nikolai Kovalenko might have his breakout season
Nikolai Kovalenko was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 2018. He stayed in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) until 2023. After signing with the Avalanche, he played four American Hockey League (AHL) games. The 24-year-old joined the Avalanche for the playoffs but wasn’t ready for full-time play, appearing in two games.
The Avalanche believes that he will improve after training in North America and expects a strong 2024-25 season. His $800,000 salary cap hit makes him important to the team.
Kovalenko showed offensive talent in the KHL, scoring 54 points in 56 games during the 2022-23 season. This year, he is expected to have a breakout season.
