Oilers' Stuart Skinner makes his feelings known after rival goalie Linus Ullmark exited game with upper-body injury

Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner made his feelings known after Ottawa Senators goalie Linus Ullmark left Sunday's game with an upper-body injury.

The Senators ended up losing 3-1 at Rogers Place, which snapped their six-game winning streak. Ullmark's exit before the second period due to a back injury was a tough blow for the team, especially since he had been a key player during that impressive stretch.

After the game, Stuart Skinner made his feelings known about his rival, Linus Ullmark, expressing his concerns for him. He emphasized that it's difficult to witness another player in pain and hoped for Ullmark's swift recovery.

"Yeah it's always hard to see that I'm not too sure exactly what happened I'm not too sure if you guys know but upper body. Yeah it's tough, you never like seeing that," Skinner said.
"The guy who came in he was fantastic made some big stops when he needed but yeah mean no matter what even though that you're playing against them and you're trying to beat him and all that jazz I think tough seeing somebody get injured so I hope that he gets better soon," he added.

Sports injury expert Dr. Harjas Grewal shared his thoughts about Linus Ullmark's injury. He suggested:

“I would lean towards a contusion for Ullmark and a day-to-day timeline. Think a broken bone is very unlikely."

Before exiting the game, Ullmark faced seven shots against the Oilers, saving six of them. During the last nine games, the 31-year-old netminder has recorded an impressive 8-0-1 record, with a 1.48 goals-against average, a .952 save percentage and two shutouts.

Stuart Skinner shared his thoughts on the win against Senators

Stuart Skinner made 21 saves in the Edmonton Oilers' 3-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday.

After the game, Skinner shared his thoughts on the win, saying that he believes the team is in a good position.

“I think we’re in a good spot,” Skinner said via NHL.com. “We’re finding ways to win games. We don’t want to lose two in a row, and we’ve been doing a pretty good job of that lately. I think the way we’ve been playing in all ends of the ice has been pretty consistent."

He also mentioned that heading into the holiday break, the team plans to relax and take some time off to feel rested for the remainder of the season. The Edmonton Oilers face the LA Kings after the holiday break on Saturday.
