P.K. Subban pens 4-word comment about Sidney Crosby's spot in NHL GOAT list after reaching unique milestone

P.K. Subban recently shared a short message on X (formerly Twitter) about Sidney Crosby’s place in the NHL’s all-time greats. Subban wrote, "Top 5 All time?" after Crosby scored his 600th career goal in a 6-1 loss to the Utah Hockey Club on Saturday night.

Subban’s post shows the respect Crosby has earned in hockey. Crosby’s goal came late in the second period on a 5-on-3 power play. Despite reaching the milestone, Sidney Crosby expressed disappointment about the loss. He said it would have been better if the Penguins had won.

“It’s not enjoyable, obviously,” Crosby said (via Sportsnet.com). “It was a nice reception and a cool moment. I thought we got some momentum and we were doing some good things and (Utah) got one shortly after. Even with that, we were still in the game, but it got away from us.”

Sidney Crosby’s 600th goal puts him in an elite group. He joins Wayne Gretzky as the only active player with at least 600 goals, 1,600 points, three Stanley Cups, and two Conn Smythe trophies.

Crosby scored his milestone goal in his 1,295th game, showing his long career and steady performance. He became the second player in Penguins history to reach 600 goals, joining Mario Lemieux. The Penguins are now one of only two teams with multiple 600-goal scorers.

Sidney Crosby hits milestone in front of family and fans

After Sidney Crosby’s goal, the Penguins’ bench celebrated, and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Crosby’s parents were at the game, which made the moment even more special. Crosby said he was grateful to achieve such a milestone at home in front of his family and the fans.

“I’ve been fortunate for some of those milestones to be here at home and to have family here and for it to be in front of the home crowd,” Crosby said... “I think it’s even more special to be able to do it at home.”

The Pittsburgh Penguins currently have a record of seven wins, twelve losses, and four overtime losses. At home, they have four wins, six losses, and two overtime losses. Their next game is against the Vancouver Canucks, who have a record of ten wins, six losses and three overtime losses, with a road record of seven win and one loss. The game is scheduled for November 27th at 7:30 PM EST.
