"Pasta la vista baby": Bruins teammates Hampus Lindholm, Jeremy Swayman spend gala time with their partners at David Pastrnak's Croatia wedding
Boston Bruins teammates Hampus Lindholm and Jeremy Swayman enjoyed a lovely time with their partners at David Pastrnak's wedding in Croatia.
Pastrnak tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Rebecca Rohlsson, at the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Croatia. The couple, who have been together for nearly six years, celebrated their special day surrounded by reportedly 100 guests on the picturesque Croatian island of Hvar.
Pastrnak's Boston Bruins teammates Lindholm and Swayman shared snapshots from the wedding on Instagram. Bruins captain Brad Marchand, his wife Katrina, and Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark also joined the celebrations.
The pictures posted by Lindholm and Swayman gave fans a peek into the special moments of Pastrnak's wedding celebration.
"Pasta is la vista baby. What a weekend full of love for the Pastrnak's!!" Lindholm captioned the post.
Freya Ivy, David and Rebecca's daughter, was also part of the ceremony, dressed in white as she walked down the aisle hand in hand with her father. Apart from Jeremy Swayman, several other teammates of Pastrnak were present at the wedding.
"It was an incredible experience to be a part of David and Rebecca’s wedding,” Charlie Coyle said. “They make such a beautiful couple, and it was an honor to witness their love and commitment to each other," via Matchstat.com).
Jeremy Swayman intends to introduce a new celebration
Boston Bruins netminder Jeremy Swayman, who is an RFA at the moment, said he intended to introduce a new post-win tradition. Last term, Swayman and Linus Ullmark had a unique celebration after each victory, where they would share a hug regardless of who played in the game.
This tradition gained popularity and became a symbol of the team's identity. However, during the offseason, Ullmark was traded to the Ottawa Senators, leaving Swayman with a new goaltending partner, former Senators netminder Joonas Korpisalo.
The change in partnership marks a new chapter for Swayman, who intends to establish a different tradition with Korpisalo as they navigate the upcoming season together.
“I know we don’t have the hug anymore, but there’s still going to be something going on after Bruins games, I can only imagine. Hopefully [Korpisalo] and I are going to find something cool, and we’ll keep that tradition going. No doubt," said Swayman.
