Patrick Kane singles out Connor Bedard's one aspect that makes him stand out
Detroit Red Wings star Patrick Kane praised Connor Bedard, highlighting what makes the Blackhawks' generational talent stand out in the NHL. Kane emphasized Bedard's remarkable skills, especially his ability to stickhandle the puck around defenders and quickly get his shot off.
Kane also pointed out that Bedard's playmaking abilities might have been underrated, as he consistently creates scoring opportunities for his teammates. During the Red Wings-Blackhawks post-game interview, Kane said about Bedard:
“He's obviously a special player. He does a lot of things that not many guys can do in the league, as far as the way he can stickhandle around defenders or get his shot off.
"Coming into the league, maybe his playmaking was a little underrated, too. You see a lot of plays that he makes for his linemates."
On Wednesday, the Blackhawks welcomed their former star Patrick Kane for the second time in Chicago since he was traded to the New York Rangers in February last year. The Red Wings beat the Hawks 4-1.

Foligno emphasized that while self-imposed pressure can be challenging, it's a positive trait. He said:
"I think that's a better quality than not hard enough. You know, he's a guy that wants to be great. ... the greats wanna be that way, and they wanna push themselves to the limits.
"It's something that he obviously has to find a balance of, but you'd rather have a guy that's highly motivated like he is. And, you know, he just wants to do his best and to give us our best and his best, and we're lucky to have him."
Bedard has accumulated 12 points, through three goals and nine assists, in 14 games this season. He returns to action on Thursday when the Blackhawks (5-8-1) face the Dallas Stars (7-4-0) at American Airlines Center. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET.
