Patrik Laine's fiancee Jordan Leigh and Josh Anderson's wife Paola attend Sabrina Carpenter's concert in Montreal
Sabrina Carpenter recently brought her Short n’ Sweet tour to the Bell Centre in Montreal. Among the fans in attendance were Jordan Leigh, the fiancee of Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine, and his Habs teammate Josh Anderson’s wife Paola.
The concert was part of a tour supporting Carpenter’s critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and topped charts in multiple countries including Canada. The tour has been a hit, with successful shows in cities like Columbus, Toronto, and even at TD Garden in Boston.
Jordan Leigh shared a couple of clips on her Instagram story showing Sabrina performing on stage. The entire arena was packed to the brim, and Montreal welcomed the superstar with cheers.
Paola Anderson also posted her own stories from the evening. She tagged three of her friends in one of the pictures, calling them “Sabrina Stans.”
The setlist included songs like "Emails I Can't Send," "Fast Times," "Because I Liked A Boy," and a cover of Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me." Fans were also treated to her iconic songs like "Feather" and "Decode."
Earlier in September, Sabrina Carpenter had rocked her concert in Toronto sporting a custom sparkly Toronto Maple Leafs jersey during her performance of the hit song "Espresso."
She paired the blue and silvery outfit with matching sparkly boots, and fans couldn't get enough of it. Her tour now continues across North America, with upcoming stops in Chicago and Minneapolis.
Patrik Laine was given a standing ovation at Bell Centre
During the Canadiens' home opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre on Tuesday, Patrik Laine received a loud standing ovation when his name was announced. Although he couldn’t play due to his sprained left knee, fans made sure he felt appreciated.
Laine was shown on the big screen, and head coach Martin St. Louis gave him a pat on the back. The crowd’s cheers continued long after Laine smiled at the fans in response to their support.
Jordan Leigh also shared the moment on her Instagram story, thanking the fans for their love.
“Habs family, you are literally the best. Our hearts are so full after tonight,” she wrote in her story.
Patrik Laine injured his left knee during a preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He collided with Leafs player Cedric Pare in a knee-on-knee incident while the Canadiens were on a power play. Laine fell to the ice clutching his knee and had to be helped off.
Thankfully, the injury will not require surgery but he will be out for two to three months as he recovers. Patrik Laine has been seen on crutches with a knee brace, and both he and his fiancee have expressed relief that the injury wasn’t worse.
