"Probably get booed": Bruins captain Brad Marchand shares hilarious take on USA vs Canada in Boston for 4 Nation Face-Off

Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand shared a humorous take on the upcoming matchup between Team USA and Team Canada during the NHL's inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off competition.

Marchand is one of four Bruins players representing their nations at the competition. The Bruins captain will represent Canada.

On NHL on TNT alongside Bruins teammate Charlie McAvoy, who will be representing the USA, Brad Marchand was asked about the potential crowd dynamics if the two teams meet in the championship game.

He joked about the challenge of playing in front of a Boston crowd while representing Canada, suggesting that local fans would likely support the hometown team.

"They're not a big fan of the old fella anymore. No, I think that'd be a tough one for the Boston fans, Marchand said. "I think they're gonna go with hometown boy and cheer, cheer on America.
"Think it's first time, actually, probably not the first time we get booed in our building. I'll probably get booed."

Teammate Charlie McAvoy said:

"That's what we'd be playing for, right the chance to do it again and play that second time in Boston, you know, with everything on the line. So, if it happens, it would be incredible."

The NHL's 4 Nations Face-Off tournament is scheduled to take place in Boston and Montreal from Feb. 12 to 20. Brad Marchand will play in front of the Boston crowd as a member of Team Canada when they face off against Finland on Feb. 17.

If the USA and Canada make it to the championship game, the Bruins captain will return to Boston for the second time, representing Canada against the USA on Feb. 20.

Brad Marchand roasts Paul Bissonnette

Brad Marchand roasted Paul Bissonnette for the second time after completing Biz's challenge of scoring two points to lift Mr. TNT award ban.

Marchand finished Wednesday's game against the Blackhawks with two points in a 4-2 victory. After the game, Marchand took some shots at Bissonnette, continuing their playful rivalry.

“It feels great. It’s whatever it takes,” Marchand said. “I know you haven’t had that opportunity, but it feels good. I don’t mind riding coattails, just like you rode (Ryan) Whit(ney)’s coattails all the way to ‘Spittin’ Chicklets."

Marchand is second among the Bruins in scoring this season, accumulating 20 points through nine goals and 17 assists in 28 games.
