Quinn Hughes makes his feelings known about playing alongside his brother Jack at 4 Nations Face-Off
Quinn Hughes is excited to play with his brother Jack Hughes in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. The tournament will take place from Feb. 12 to 20 in Montreal and Boston. It will feature NHL players from the U.S., Canada, Finland and Sweden. Team USA includes 23 players, including the Hughes brothers, who both played for the Toronto Marlboros in the GTHL.
During a postgame interview on Friday, Quinn Hughes shared his thoughts on the opportunity to represent the United States with his brother.
“Really exciting and really happy that he’s on the team,” Hughes said. “Definitely deserves it, and it’s really hard to make a team like that, and to be able to do it with my brother, it’s going to be special.”
When asked if playing with his brother makes the experience even more meaningful, Quinn acknowledged the growing anticipation as the tournament approaches.
“I think now that we’re almost, what, two months away, it’s starting to come up, and people are starting to think about and talk about it,” he added. “But still, a lot of hockey between now and then we have to focus on, and that’s what we’ll try to do.”
(from 1:32 mark onwards)
Team USA's roster includes three Stanley Cup champions, four NHL captains and 10 alternate captains. Many of them have represented their country in international competitions before, earning 47 medals, including 20 golds. For the Hughes brothers, this tournament offers a special chance to play together.
