Radek Faksa and 3-year-old son Eliott adorably practice for Olympics 2028
Radek Faksa's nine-year journey with the Dallas Stars has come to an end, as he will be playing the next season in St. Louis after being traded to the Blues on August 2.
The former Stars forward is making the most of his off-season, spending quality time with his family. Radek went springboard diving with his three-year-old son, Elliot.
On Saturday, his wife Dominika shared a clip on Instagram story where the father-son duo can be seen diving from a low pool springboard into the swimming pool. She hilariously captioned the post:
“Practicing springboard diving for Olympics 2028,” along with the Olympics rings.
Radek reposted the clip on his Instagram story as well. He has been busy engaging in fun activities with his son throughout the off-season. Earlier last week, the father-son duo went hockey practicing on the rink, where Elliot kept insisting for a stick of his own.
Dominika and Radek welcomed their son on July 31, 2021. Faksa has since shared many adorable moments with Elliot on his socials. Right after his trade to the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, Dominika shared a special post on her son’s third birthday ahead of their move to a new city.
“So here he is, my three years old little man ... not a baby anymore🥹. In a short time you will no longer be an only child, and we will move to the new city, you will make new friends. ... it will be quite transition for you. But I know you will ROCK it✨! We love you more than we will ever be able to put in the words 🤍,” Dominika Faksa wrote on Instagram.
Radek Faksa kept a promise made to his son last season
The Dallas Stars eliminated the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the 2023-24 Stanley Cup playoffs. The series went to Game 7, where Radek Faksa went on to score what he would label as the greatest goal of his career.
In doing so, Radek Faksa fulfilled a certain promise he had made to his son, Elliot. During an interview with “NHL on TNT”’s panel, he said:
“It was the biggest goal of my career and actually after every pregame skate I played with my son a little mini stick hockey,” Faksa said.
“I promised him I will score a goal tonight, and I'm glad I did, you know, so I'm so excited to show him the video of the goal in the morning and I'm so happy.”
Radek Faksa will start a new chapter in his NHL career in a different city. Nevertheless, the player wrote that Dallas will always be his ‘second home,’ in an emotional farewell post after the unexpected trade on Thursday.
