Sabres' Peyton Krebs makes his thoughts on Rasmus Dahlin very clear following on-ice fight during practice

Buffalo Sabres teammates Peyton Krebs and Rasmus Dahlin fought on the ice during practice. They went at it after Dahlin hip-checked Krebs and things escalated from there. Both players dropped their gloves as teammates jumped in to try and break up the fight.

However, any indication of a rift between the two may not exist anymore. Krebs took to Instagram to clear the air and made his feelings known about his teammate.

He captioned a photo of them celebrating together with:

"Hugging my best friend when we score."

"Best friend" is usually not used to describe someone that a person just fought with but the two have a good relationship and Krebs wanted the public to know that.

Sabres coach discusses Peyton Krebs, Rasmus Dahlin fight

While teammates skated over to stop the fight between Peyton Krebs and Rasmus Dahlin during practice, coach Lindy Ruff didn't. He was not concerned with the fight and did not rush to break it up.

He shared his thoughts via Audacy on Monday:

"It's just boys will be boys," Ruff said. "Dahls got bumped before and he evened up the score. I wouldn't read too much into that. We want competitive practices. Every now and then, the emotions run high, but that's a good place to be."

Dahlin also talked about the incident.

"Stuff happens, and I regret it now," Dahlin said. "I apologized to him, so it's all good. That's how it is out there."

Krebs then opened up about it and said that he was driving the net and clipped Dahlin in the face. He called his teammate a "passionate guy" and added that that's why the Sabres love him.

So far, the Sabres are off to a rough start. Krebs and Dahlin have been held out of the net and they are in eighth place in the Atlantic Division. The Sabres did win their first game by scoring five goals against the Florida Panthers.
