"Something I missed when he was gone": Carey Price speaks well of former Habs teammate P.K. Subban
Former Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price recently opened up about his time playing alongside his former teammate P.K. Subban while talking on the "La Poche Bleue" podcast.
The two were teammates in Montreal for seven seasons before Subban was traded to Nashville in 2016.
Price spoke highly of Subban's infectious personality and the energy he brought to the Canadiens locker room:
"P.K. was one of those guys that was always really fun to talk to. And when P.K. was on the team, everything was always entertaining," Price said.
He went on to praise Subban's consistently positive attitude and happiness when coming to the rink every day:
"He was always, always happy to be at the rink. And that's something that I missed when he was gone."
Carey Price also provided insight into how much Subban's vibrant spirit meant to him as a teammate:
"He's just a character, you know, he's one of those guys that is just enjoyable to be around."
Price then spoke about how Subban brought a unique personality to the Canadiens locker room and wasn't afraid to break the mold:
"Everybody was so conformative, you know, like cookie cutter, you know, like, kind of this is how we do... like very, very square, and P.K. really brought a whole new personality to the game."
