T.J. Oshie's wife Lauren set to surprise daughters with Sabrina Carpenter's concert and a luxury ride
T.J. Oshie’s wife, Lauren, is planning a fun surprise for their daughters. On Instagram, she shared that she and some friends are taking their daughters to a Sabrina Carpenter concert in Charlottesville.
Lauren added that she ordered "fancy outfits" for the girls to choose from, making the surprise even more special. To make it unforgettable, they also booked a luxury ride with Gala Van VA. Lauren hinted in her post that,
"Speaking of teenager - a couple of friends and myself are surprising our daughters and taking them to the @sabrinacarpenter concert in Charlottesville on Sunday I ordered "fancy outfits" for the girls to choose from for what they think is going to be a dinner date We also set up a luxury ride with @gala_van_va and so the girls are basically going to lose their minds."
The Oshie family has grown over the years. Their first daughter, Lyla Grace, was born in 2014 and faced surgery shortly after birth due to a medical condition called gastroschisis.
The family has since welcomed three more children: Leni Rose in 2016, Cambell Richard in 2020, and Lucy Collins in 2023.
T.J. and Lauren, who married in July 2015 in Minnesota, are making sweet family memories. This concert surprise shows their love for creating special experiences for their kids.
Apart from family fun time, T.J. Oshie shared Capitals fun video
On October 2nd, Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie shared a fun video on Instagram of teammate Trevor van Riemsdyk trying a 60-foot putt during a team dinner.
In the video, van Riemsdyk aims to hit a ball into a paper cup set at the far end of an aisle. As he prepares for the putt, teammates chant, and when the ball finally sinks into the cup, the room bursts into cheers.
Oshie captioned the video,
"Do the @capitals have fun? @tvanriemsdyk6 with the 60 ft. putt through the middle of team dinner."
Oshie is a known fan of golf and regularly plays in charity tournaments, including the American Century Championship.
However, Oshie is facing uncertainty about his hockey career due to long-term back issues. After the Capitals' 2023-24 season ended, Oshie took a final lap on the ice, hinting it might be his last. Two days later, he shared that his back injury had left his future in question.
Over the summer, the Capitals didn’t provide updates, but before training camp, they confirmed T.J. Oshie would be placed on Long Term Injured Reserve.
