VIDEO: Tempers flare as multiple New York Rangers get involved in massive end-game scrum
The New York Rangers and Arizona Coyotes matchup ended with a massive brawl, which saw players from both teams drop their gloves following the final buzzer.
It all started after the Rangers' Ryan Lindgren and the Coyotes' Barrett Hayton dropped their gloves and started to trade punches at each other. In the process, multiple players from both teams entered the fray and started to grapple with and punch each other behind the goal line.
The New York Rangers' Barclay Goodrow, Igor Shesterkin, and Mika Zibanejad were among the players at the center of the brawl.

The Rangers beat the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 at home in Madison Square Garden and claimed their second consecutive win of the season. Chris Kreider and Vincent Trochek were the goalscorers for the Blue Shirts. Meanwhile, Clayton Keller scored once for the Coyotes.
Igor Shesterkin made 27 saves in the contest and ended the night with a.963 SV%.

The Blue Shirts have now won two consecutive games this season. Cris Kreider put the Rangers on board at the 14:11 mark of the first period, bringing his total to three goals and five points.
In the second period, Clayton Keller scored his first career goal after maneuvering the puck past Seshterkin for a powerplay goal to tie the game 1-1.
In the final period of the game, Vincent Trochek's goal on a powerplay stood out as the winner for the New York Rangers. Shesterkin was brilliant in between the pipes for the Blue Shirts. He made a crucial penalty save in the later frame of the third period to deny the Coyotes an equalizer.
The New York Rangers coach, Peter Laviolette, spoke to the media and shed his thoughts on the game (via NHL.com):
"That was a hard-fought win," Rangers coach Peter Laviolette said. "They play hard and they're a young team that's trying to move in the right direction. … It was pretty gutsy."
The Rangers next host the Nashville Predators on Thursday, October 19. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET.
